Caravan Trades Help Manual

Quick-Start Guide
This guide is designed to get you into the game fast. All of Caravan Trades's core details are briefly explained, so you can get a quick idea of how things work. Once you've found your feet, check out the rest of the help manual to learn the intricacies of trading among the sand dunes.

The Empire Map of the Persian Empire contains 3 types of Cities:

* Markets - Buy and sell commodities.
* Bazaars - Upgrade your caravans.
* Academies - Train your caravans' officers to improve their performance.

Buy commodities cheap, transport them to somewhere they are expensive, sell them, reap a huge profit, and then spend it on more commodities, more caravans, etc. Reinvest your money back into your company and watch it grow into a mammoth trade organization.

Sometimes Markets will be in dire need of particular commodities and will advertise the fact in the Empire News. Sometimes Markets will change the prices or even the list of commodities they trade. This also will be announced in the Empire News.

Although some commodities are illegal throughout the galaxy, smuggling illegal goods can be extremely lucrative as long as the authorities don't catch you -- the Law Level (shown in the Empire Map information) of a Market and the training of your Guard determine your likelihood of being caught.

While your caravans are in transit from place to place you can spend some time exploring. Most often you will find nothing, but occasionally you may find interesting objects to add to your caravan, sell, or that boost your Renown rating.

Some Markets may offer Special Missions (usually with high rewards). Special Missions are given to the first caravan willing to take them, so always check when you arrive at a Market to see if one is being offered. New mission offerings are posted in the Empire News.

With your own bandit caravans, you can ransack the cargo caravans of another player, or if you prefer, you can use espionage against them, or even hire mercenary bandits to interfere with their trade.

Important things to watch include:

Fleet Status
Shows your caravans, equipment, officer training, damage, destinations, and cargo.

Caravan Orders
Do business at your current location, buy and sell cargo, upgrade your equipment, train your officers, and send your caravan to another destination.

Markets, Academies, and Bazaars
