 Caravan Trades Help Manual

The Menu Bar
Once you've registered and named your company, you'll be sent to the main menu. At the top of the screen is a mini-menu that will always stay at the top of the page. Here is shown your Messages, News, Renown and Silver Pieces.

Renown is the measure of your company's standing in the Persian Empire. By keeping an active fleet, trading for profit, and maintaining a sound business, your Renown will increase. However, if your business starts to sag, your Renown will suffer. Renown is the most important factor in sizing up rival companies, and is the measure that will determine your status in the Hall of Records, should your company be entered there at all.

Silver Pieces is the monetary unit used throughout the Persian Empire. You begin the game with 5,000 silver pieces to get your company started. From there on, generating income is up to you, as is deciding what are reasonable expenses to keep your company flourishing.

Messages contain any messages you've received from other companies. You can also send messages to any other player, by clicking Send Message on the left navigation bar.

Company News is a summary of any events that happened while you were away. You can view your company news for the past 3 days.

Empire News lists announcements of universal importance. Empire News includes Cities offering special transport missions and price or availability changes at Markets.

CTA News lists events of interest to members of the Caravan Traders Association, such as notices of companies being dissolved, retired, and other such headlines.

You may choose to filter the types of news displayed in the Account Control page.

The number of new messages or news events since you last read them in shown in parentheses for each.
