Caravan Trades Help Manual

Bandit Attacks
If you are ransacked by a rival company's Bandit Gang, or raided by mercenary bandits hired by another company, there is no chance of a bribe succeeding, you must fight. Your caravan's Armor and Weapons will be matched against those of the Bandit Gang, deciding who wins the fight.

If the Bandit Gang overpowers your defenses, you will be robbed of the cargo in a random wagon, and will take a large amount of damage. If your defenses withstand the bandit's attack, you will retain your cargo, and your caravan will sustain damage, but not nearly as much as if you had been defeated. The Bandit Gang will sustain damage based on the firepower used to defend against it.

All bandits attack as your caravan nears a market. Random and hired mercenary bandits can be fought off, and random bandits can also be bribed to leave you in peace if your caravan carries enough silver pieces to tempt them. A high level of Communication skill can be helpful in convincing random mercenary bandits to accept a bribe.

Lookouts on your caravan will help you identify bandits that attack you. If a Bandit Gang of a rival company or bandits hired by a rival company are identified, the Legal Standing of that company will be adversely affected.
